About Desperate Housewives TV Series
The setting of Desperate Housewives is the street of Wisteria Lane in the fictional American town of Fairview in the Eagle State. It follows the lives of a group of women, seen through the eyes of their dead neighbor. They work through domestic struggles and family life, while facing the secrets, crimes and mysteries hidden behind the doors of their—at the surface—beautiful and seemingly perfect suburban neighborhood.
Desperate Housewives are so easy to watch that you won’t even notice while falling in love with it and getting addicted. Its setting shows great contrasts between what seems like perfect and easy life and the reality with different everyday struggles as well as clever mysteries and falling in and out of troubles of the main characters. It could be a little metaphor on the good old saying “don’t judge the book by its cover”.
Desperate Housewives premiered on October 3 2004 and has attracted millions of viewers all over the world also achieving many exalted awards like Emmy’s, Golden Globes and Prestigious Actors Guild. The series was created by Marc Cherry and features an ensemble cast!
